The number stamped in the piece (the hallmark) states how many parts per thousand of the alloy are pure gold. A 585 ring therefore consists of 58.5 % fine gold; the rest are other metals such as silver or copper. Only this fine gold content counts towards the gold value.

No hallmark? No problem. We test the fineness with proven methods right here in our shop. Marks such as "GF", "RGP", "Doublé" or "gold plated", however, indicate a thin gold layer with hardly any material value.
Our shop is located in the south of Düsseldorf in Benrath and is easy to reach from all districts as well as from Hilden, Langenfeld, Monheim, Neuss and Erkrath. For larger quantities and estates we can also visit you at home by arrangement.

Yes. Broken chains, single earrings, bent rings or scrap gold are bought just like intact jewelry. For the pure gold value, only weight and fineness count.

Often, yes. For jewelry from well-known houses, pieces set with diamonds or antique items, we additionally assess brand, stones and collector value. Such pieces are not simply melted down by weight.
